All those things, they stand with you, and against everything I am

1- Girls crossing the streets
When they laugh or suddenly look at something
All girls passing by carry something of you
For example, yesterday I saw a girl crossing the street, and a woman called her
She called out her by your name
And I felt something that touched my heart
Like feeling your fingers on a small child's foot
2- Children
Who wear the mantle of innocence in a world that has forgotten kindness
These children carry something of you
Innocence, the fragile innocence that dies suddenly when we grow up
3- Poor stray cats in the streets
Seeking a heart that softens
If only for a moment,
To offer food or water
Or softens forever
And takes them home
Those cats carry something of you
The search, the absolute search for shelter that stays
4- Groceries on supermarket shelves
Yesterday, I was walking around the city with a heavy heart
I went into a supermarket to buy some things for the house
I found white chocolate
I heard your voice
"Darling, I love white chocolate"
I wanted to buy you one, but I realized it might expire from waiting too long.
The absolute, eternal wait for your return, again.
5- The scent of your perfume.
like a sudden breeze,
brushing gently against me,
then vanishing.
And every time a breeze returns,
I smell your perfume.
6- The moon
carries something of you.
that is completely far away.

This poem really does deserve accolade. I feel it's construct is rather novel with the use of numbered phrases, but it so excellently evolves with the attractive composition. A great love poem. Welcome to PoetBay too. Blessings, Allen
