Playtime 12
I don't doubt that the lizards will congregate later today,
When we've gone inside. I question their motives. They
Don't seem nice, though they're not so unfriendly as most
Of the mice, nor are they to be feared, as hummingbirds
Are. The world, let's face it, is riddled with mysteries.
So much is unknown, even now when we're moving past
Science toward babble and hoary old myths. Let's watch
From the window to see if I'm right, and the lizards all
Come out, for reasons unknown, when they think that
We've gone out of sight.
