Has Vlad Become Smitten?

Do I love her? I wouldn't go that far, but maybe I do
In a certain way. I crave her as a vampire does his victim.
She's so young and vital. I, as you can see, am not.
When we're together, I gain strength. These ancient eyes
See color coming back into their sorry world. Blossoms
Issue scents again, and, when's she's gone, I feel myself
Deflating, like a kid's balloon, so, I suppose that I may
Love her, but I can't imagine bringing her to share my crypt.
