Own it, sister!

And, when you're chewing yesterday's gum,
Your shoulder sore from digging,
Or your brain dissolved from officing,

Look again for my face,
Search for my hand
Take refuge in my arms.

For I carried you once,
We were one,
I know your dreams for they were once mine,
And when you were ready,
I bore you into this world,

I can carry you again,
The honour would be mine,
(Just in case you need it, which you tell me you don't),
But apart from dreams to ponder,
I also gifted you STRENGTH.

You are filled with storms,
With purples and electric clashing drums,
With nails scraping blackboards,
And tin foil on fillings.

Walk tall my beautiful child
Your road is still unfinished,
Potential is the destination,
Learn to follow wherever it leads .
