The inspiration for this poem came after I read someone questioning the value of love...
IS IT ALL ABOUT EXPERIENCE?
Is it all about the experience?
When times are good, we can laugh
When they are bad we can cry
We can meet someone new and lovely
And we can fall in love with them.
But catastrophe and carnage!
They give rise to the age old question,
Just how can there be a God?
Well, when this experience
In this present day reality
Is finally all over and done
Maybe some deity will shower you
With unconditional healing LOVE
And simply say, "Well done, you!
"You've experienced so much,
"And I LOVE you for it."
