power
hierarchy
can legislate as much as it likes for
trust
honesty
fidelity
truth,
the pity of it
they can be given only lip service
by who you pretend to be
in public
but not by the favorite hedgehog version of you
who is afraid to be seen
as truly you are
as you see yourselves
the way you are
and the way you pretend to be
but reveal the unreveable
when your actions are not captured in solitude
and devour all
without any qualm.

I like the concept of this, and the words are very powerful. Authority can be quite pernicious can't it. How will we ever achieve peace on Earth. Mind you, the saying, 'you only get the leaders you elect' is unquestionably true. Blessings, Allen
