Different but not defective

I am
though blind
save I reset the norms of seeing.
look I not at the sun at daytime
or at the street light at night
and craze I not the light in someone's gaze
but firefly-like look inside
what self engendered spark
lives in me and burns
only the sightless
come to know
which the sun can never hope
to do.
Though hard to see outside me
wounds can also be read
in braille.
No matter unaware
how I am self luminant
but my inner light is all I ever need
and nothing is worth holding
other than
what is effulgent from within.
