A friend who is there when we are in need, is a a true friend.
When all we see before us is the darkness,
And we feel nothing but despair,
That's when a light shines on our pathway,
A friend we didn't know was there.
A friend with words to chase away the shadows,
To bring along a smile when we are weak,
To bring a hug to comfort us in sorrow
Or hear us out when we most need to speak.
