Trials of Faith
If the glory of creation
Has neither creator nor design
Only these creatures that exist upon the surface of things
If there is no higher purpose in being
Or reason for faith in God
If where and why are only rhetorical questions
Made to satisfy a hunger that may never be fulfilled
Then no issues with having fallen short of the glory
Let the endless chaos and violence cycle on
Until all earthy resources are diminished
Until all that was once held dear is savaged and gone
Without a designer or creator
For the glory of creation
