So Things Disintegrated

Not so long before things disintegrated

No more attempts to justify correlations

Just the sound bytes of two bit chips

And the vacant fanfare of failing state nations

We were sitting in a shabby old coffee bar I think

Gazing at the milky way that evening stirred itself into the sink

A burning freeze stalked the night until ice was all we wore

Nothing but these electric pages to rewrite once more

Praying to the invisible, fated

inc.

Not so long before things disintegrated
