Falling Back Through
We were falling back through time
Like looking for a magic rhyme
Yet never finding our mercurial word
Like mist that curls about one's thoughts
Once I almost caught the shadow of your name
In a late night reflection
A light shiver of silver in an antique mirror
Almost revealed for detection
Like a treasure, an alchemical image bearer
Like looking into magic rhyme
We were, falling back through time . . .
