A short one as the crossroads of life comes along again, I wish it was a roundabout so I could just go round, but this Junction wants a decision on which way to go. but all three exits are fog bound and exits not visible at this time.

Lost

Once again I am lost
Which way do I turn?
Do I see the gates of heaven
Or the fires of hell that burn
Who will be with me?
On my journey unknown
As I search my confused mind
All the angels having flown,
I see now only darkness
Where once I saw the light
I feel this losing battle
Is the last one I’ll ever fight.

It is a very interesting poem. I always find it interesting to read how other people interpret such crossroads in life. The protagonist sounds as if he/she feels this choice is the final one to be experienced?
