If you follow my poems you’d see a theme, my poems are my life as I live it, each one is the view from my eyes and the thoughts they produce in my mind as I go on.

Thanks for opening the door

Thanks for opening the door
That I been waiting to go through
Who would have known
The key holders were all of you

How could I have guessed
As you’ve known me for so long
But I was totally surprised
When you sang a different song

And not many can dance
To the opposing tune you play
As actions speak louder than words
Now there’s nothing left to say

So thank you once again
For opening up that door
Where I can finally meet
All those I’ve written poems for

This has a warm, grateful energy, like a toast at the end of a long wait. The idea that the people around you were holding the key all along is sweet, and the turn from surprise to thanks feels earned. The rhyme is steady and keeps the whole thing moving. But some lines are a little vague. "You sang a different song" and "opposing tune" gesture at conflict or change without showing what actually happened. A single concrete detail about the door, the room, or the people on the other side would make the gratitude feel less general and more lived. Still, the warmth is genuine.
