Gog and Agog
Things which once were no longer are
Digital ghosts glide in muted splendors cross the way
Forests of cities spin choruses of Gog and Agog
What is ahead now
Where the face and eyes ?
Infinite versions of same window
Painted, inked with scribbled verses
Depicting ancient civililzations, societies, vanished cultures
Artifacts appear in superficial middle perspectives
Items, tangents, lists of articles
Secretly suspect riddles concealed in an awful naked abandoned light
Dressed now in smoke and dirty fog materials too plain to name
Perpetually follow a trail of vain clues leading back to
Things which once were no longer are . . .
