Defying Darkness


To become a spark of light merely defying darkness

Seeking how to simply aspire unto that which may be more

Reaching for the greater good

Attempting to see through something that is not there

Wanting to find a way to exist without falling prey to a void

That which hides before each and every face without shame

Being unafraid to ask forgiveness to live a life to have a name

That is written in an ink which may not fade

Is it too much to trade the world for so much joyfulness

To become a spark of light merely defying darkness
