Excuse this one. It was writtern when I was a very young man with great ambitions as regards writing... and a great deal of niavity!  I just couldn't help myself from posting it!

DAWN

Slowly, as if it were unseen,

Darkness begins a change to green,

A Light comes from o'er the hill

Night is gone, had it's fill.

The leaves begin their gentle rustle

Blades of grass start day's tousle.

The bluebells slowly shake their heads

As they rise from sleeping beds.

All flowers slowly start the day,

Gold lights up the stacks of hay,

The daisies turn to face the East

Stretching petals. Night is Ceased.

A Robin wakes and starts his song

Calling to his sleeping throng

New life, slowly, being born

Silent darkness is lost to 'morn

The Sun it's face begins to show

As warmer breeze begins to blow

Awareness of being alone

Lost, as eyes full wide are grown

Transition. New world being born

Alone, awake, watching Dawn.
