Inspired by the bio of a 15 years old PoetBay member found on one of my random selections of member images 'demolitionlover' is/was her nickname. A sample of her words can be found HERE.

WISHES FOR 'DEMOLITIONLOVER'

Emma at fifteen had a dream
One she could see as clear as day
She would be writing lyrical words
For Flyleaf or Evanescence.
As the days advanced to years
The groups have disbanded or died
Maybe  all that happened to Emma
Was she had to change
the names of the bands.
I am left with praying
She remained true to her words,
Though lost to our annals,
That Emma never stopped writing.

A wonderful tribute. I too sometimes go through the old archives. So many poets no longer writing, or at least not posting here, and so many of them so young.

I wonder what happened.

We need young blood here in the bay.

one trick pony The PoetBay support member heart!
One of my favorite things is searching the poetbay archives, reading the poems of members who are no longer on the site. The archive of poems is a treasure.

Your poem is, as always, generous and kind and hopeful. I, too, hope her dreams are coming true.
