Another one I wrote on the bench of 'Little White Feather'
More than the living
As those still here take
And those gone are far more giving
How can that be?
I hear you ask
It only takes a silent question
To the one that has passed
As they will come through
If you just give them time
I should very well know
As I’ve done it with mine
Find a peaceful spot
Anytime of the day
And they will show you things
No words could ever say
So try it yourself
Let me know if it’s true
Although out of sight
They’ll always be with you.

Respect
I respect the deadMore than the living
As those still here take
And those gone are far more giving
How can that be?
I hear you ask
It only takes a silent question
To the one that has passed
As they will come through
If you just give them time
I should very well know
As I’ve done it with mine
Find a peaceful spot
Anytime of the day
And they will show you things
No words could ever say
So try it yourself
Let me know if it’s true
Although out of sight
They’ll always be with you.
