Palette

My favorite color is green,
the color of grass and new spring leaves;
next comes blue, but not the Carolina kind,
the deep blue of sapphires and oceans.

Of brighter hues I choose fiery orange
and the intense yellow of sunflowers,
mixed together into flames reaching
into the deep blue of a night sky.

Red and pink are not my style,
one too garish, the other too weak;
purple is lovely though,
the color of spring irises and Lent.

The colors of the world breathe life
but do not touch my weary thoughts -
those are always in shades of grey,
murky waters of uncertainty.

LOVE THIS BEYOND ANY MEASURE OF WORDS!

WOW!

(* strange, but I feel like you are spiritual kin--
almost like a my spiritual twin...

My favorite was always green until I started loving purple

Blue's somewhere in the middle....

now I just love the Rainbows of all colors...

with favorites of green and purple in a tie....

I love the tie-dye too. 🙂
