FREEDOM BY ANN WOOD

FREEDOM

When your heart suddenly turns cold,
After a string of life's nightmares,
When life has mercilessly hit you,
With loud and strong slaps...

When flooded with other people's claims,
You suddenly forget about yourself,
When you fall asleep next to someone with guilt,
And in fact you are pure as a baby...

When you live with a bunch of selfish people
And with rage they break your wings,
When you become speechless from pain and fear,
But they still steal your soul...

Then take your dignity
And a few feet of hope,
Run where your eyes can see...
Forgive and don't look back...

The four poems you posted today are full of wisdom and forgiveness and honesty, and most of all love. I feel the warmth of your words in my heart.
