By The Grace Of God Go I
A Grateful heart gathers God's grace with repentance. It is true that God's Grace and not by one's own good works is what saves a believer in Christ from perdition. Some think this means that good works don't matter but I believe they do. I believe it is the evidence of authentic conversion that manifests when one becomes a true, undoubting believer. None will be perfected while carnal, but we can be much better. We can be overcomers while in the flesh. God forgives us our sins. Yet there is a condition that creates the controversy often not mentioned. "Saved by Grace" , faith and belief in Christ and his teachings regarding God, Heaven and Salvation of Man.We are told to repent. We are imperfect and frail and will fall into the sinful nature's wired within our carnal bodies, inevitably, within our lifespan. It is necessary to forgive others [ which includes forgiving ourselves] and to feel emotions of regret and being sorry for bad behaviors such that it motivates and fuels the change of thinking for the better and helps us turn away from the sinful behaviors that tempt us and may be hard to resist.Humility and Grace: Recognizing our own shortcomings removes pride and entitlements, allowing us to truly appreciate the grace we are given.
Repentance as Freedom: Confessing our wrongs is not meant as a punishment, but as a gift that brings healing and restoration.
A Grateful Posture: A thankful heart acknowledges that every good gift and fresh start comes directly from God's steadfast love.
