Gesticulation

as body expression
all understand, learnt
from cradle, agitating
feet and fingers, sucking thumb.
It's reality unmediated with words
for it needs no translation.
All are sensitive to a warm handshake,
a tap on the back, a cold embrace
or a frown that never fails
unlike the tongue.
