America... WAKE UP
I watch a man of power bend the truthuntil it snaps
yet somehow still he smiles
as if the world should thank him
for the breaking
his words fall like ash
thousands of lies drifting
through the air we all must breathe
clouding daylight
making doubt feel normal
I saw him turn his back on friends
old allies standing with open hands
only to be met with threats
tariffs
warnings of war
from the very nation they once trusted
as a shield
he praised the strongmen
the iron fisted rulers
while scolding democracies
that had stood beside us for decades
and I felt small
a single voice
against a storm that roared
with ego and grievance
what can one person do
when a leader shakes the foundations
of the world we thought was steady
when he abandons partners in conflict
leaves Kurds to fend alone
or speaks of obliteration
as casually as weather
I feel useless sometimes
watching history twist
under hands that do not tremble
even when they should
a witness only
not a warrior
not a shield
just someone who sees the danger
and fears the future
that others refuse to face
yet still I speak
quietly
because silence would be surrender
and even the smallest voice
can carry truth
through the noise
of a man who built his power
on breaking it
why don’t they wake
the millions who watch the oval office glow
as if a wild beast inside
looking at a shadow on the wall
I stand here small
a whisper against the roar
wondering how a nation built on hope
can sleep through claws scraping at its door
he bellows
and they call it strength
he breaks
and they call it change
he threatens friends
and they call it pride
and I…….
I feel useless
a single voice
trying to warn a country
that refuses to open its eyes
how long can a dream last
when the creature at its centre
is wide awake.
