time changes everything, us and everything
I probably do have racist biases too. And anti-racism is like a plant - you have to keep watering it. You can't just coast on the fact that you weren't racist 30 years ago, back when you were young and voted left, and assume you're permanently in the clear. Especially as you get older: if you've kept the same old ideas, if you're afraid of fading away or being forgotten while others aren't, and then you watch younger people succeed, you can start resenting them even though that's a normal stage of life.
