This doesn't apply
To the people who
Like what I write.
The things that are on my mind.
Realising once said, theirs no rewind.
It leads me to think about what I write.
You may not like my posts, I believe,
That's your right, as is my right to disagree.
Don't feel to happy if it makes me displeased,
Isn't that what free speech is all about?
Often I read poetry i don't consider poetry,
Then again when sometimes I read.
What others say about others poetry,
Expecially whenever they go on to long.
They have a self belief there never wrong.
I myself within this dyslexic dementia mind.
Have read thousands of books over time,
It wouldn't be right to list them on a poetry site.
I write because I love to write as anyone else can see,
At least for me, and as you obviously thought it through.
I can be more vocalised than I need to be verbally,
Please stop trying to get me to enter in debate with you.
( As for some off my past accomplishments ):
Oh and as for me I used to speed read,
Often played chess with the best.
Played trumpet with the Sally ann,
Including doing maths in my mind.
Repaired the odd TV, that's what
Us old TV engineer's used to do.
Tickled an ivory or two.
Learned to write the odd rhyme,
Including a story or two,
Procreated, recreated the odd
Child or two. Including my wife.
Not bad for someone learning disabilities.
Only now with dementia in mind,
I help as many others as I can do.
In this life isn't that what we should do,
Under the skin were all brothers and sisters too.
Before I go I'd like to mention,
Something I failed to mention before.
That is along the way I owned a shop,
A second hand book shop, in closing
I'd just like to say. I kept the odd
Thousand or two back so my mind can feed.
As for the heated arguments I have.
Don't worry,
Cooler temperatures, should prevail,
On the morrow. Unless someone
Starts on myself again, if you follow.
