The Days Like You

I never said that you are not beautiful
I never said that you are not brave
My eyes were always upon you
Learning how civilized people behave
.
You looked upon me as brash and raw
You looked upon me as an event
My eyes never left your face
Until the day your happiness in me went
.
Fields may roll and the mountains rise
And the sun shows a sallow eye
A boy now feels life is strange
Afraid to kiss the days like you goodbye
.
.

A tale of innocence (or is it faith and hope) lost, inevitable and irrevocable.

All the sad young boys.
