Often when I write.
It amuses me,
That I read the story.
In my mind as it does unfold.

Halfway in my brain

Halfway in my brain,
There's a place that I think,
I'm not very proud of it,
In fact I think it stinks.

It's got a dementia mind,
Of that I am quite sure.
I keep forgetting about it,
As it runs around my head.

It's not in the middle,
Nor in the top of my head.
In fact I think my mind,
Is somewhere else instead.

Mind's are a funny thing
of that i'm quite sure.
Don't think that I have one,
It's rotting at the core.

Somewhere in my brain,
I think there is a thread.
Where I may remember,
All the things i've said.

Halfway in my brain,
There's a place that I go.
It isn't in my mind.
It isn't in my soul.

But that is the place,
Where I find myself,
Somewhere in my head.
I wish that I could be,
Someone else instead.
