Step by step

I got my thumps in the air
no car care to stop
snowflakes is making my jacket wet
not even white

Im freezing and I need food
my feet are hurting

its been a long walk
to long to stop

I made a deal with whom I cant remember
to walk to the end of the world
for all eternity

Eternity is longer
far from all we know

but Im still walking
step by step

My thumps in the air
no car care to stop

People are driving home for christmas
smiling faces in warm cars
the trunk overflowing with gifts

My journey is forever

Im freezing and I need food

I remember one Christmas eve doing this,
an interesting experience when nobody stops.
Thanks for sharing your sad experience.

This is an interesting piece of your obvious painful history. The mention of the gifts in the trunks makes your situation even sadder. The idea of us all wanting to walk away like this draws us into the story. Nicely done.
