Sumtimes simple listening can save lives...............


Lending an ear........

As i was walking,
I came by a tree,
not very tall as i could see.
It was standing alone in a big field.
Not even a bird was near it's single leaf.
As people passedby,
it would look at them with hoping eyes.
But when they would not stop,
it would simply give a sigh.
"Listen to me, please",
it wanted to say.
But it had no way.
I decided to go near and talk.
In the starting it looked surprised.
But when i gave it a friendly pat,
it's bent trunk started to rise.
Day by day it grew greener
and slowly from its death stage,
it came back to life.
I realize,
sometimes just lending an ear is enough to save lives...

so true... sometimes we don't realize what small things we can do to make a difference in someone's life. even a smile can turn a bad day into better one.
