Hope is the foundation of the house we call faith. And with faith, all things, begin.

Gift

Something speaks to us when we are in despair,
They talk us to go further down the spiral,
Something tugs us,
To go that place, to seek out temptation,
In the moments of weakness,
That "something" talks to us,
Persuades us, and even hold our hands,
To go lower, lower, to be higher higher,
Like Matisyahu said,
"If you try to stay high",
"You're bound to stay low",
"You want God, but you couldn't deflate your ego",

Is it that, ego?,
Everyone wants to be "special",
Even though we all are,
We all love "the one-up" game,
Even if the saying is holds and stays true,
Never learning, just mastering stupidity,
A gift was given unto you, long ago,
And God has made it strong, even when you didn't notice,
It's like a trust fund you never knew about,

Now, back to that "something",
You know what is, so I will not even begin to,
Insult your intelligence,
But it is your intelligence that is being tested,
When and what ever "something" comes,
And we are all weak, which means,
We all fail, sometime, all the time,
Learning is slow, but it is efficient when enforced,
And that's is a goal that we must all seek,
Sometime, all time time,

Because seeking perfection is sheer ignorance,
Seeking faith is divine intelligence,
And that there lays the problem,
The separation of faith from perfection,
And here it is,
There is no such animal, belief structure, okay, thing as,
Perfect faith,
Faith is a daily practice of prayer and hope,
You have no time for quarrel, violence and separation,
Because even when you want to,
You cannot do it alone, because after all,
It must be shared, endured and finally, learned,
Perfection is the ending of this practice,
As well as "practice" itself,
It creates the disorder because it is not noticed,
Unless it is seen and shared through others,
There is your separation,

Notice how everybody says "perfect",
Nobody says "a good practice",
In fact, people hate the word "practice",
Except doctors, of course,
What I am trying to explain to you is,
Hope and Faith will never have anything to do with Perfection,
Because Hope and Faith never deals in absolutes,
And with this fact, the truth is unvieled between us who practice faith,
And the ones who destroy for perfection trying to blame faith,
After all, you never heard of a "House of Perfection",

The dancer moves without a trace,

Oh Saga, such meat for maturing spiritual hunger. Consider, "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great crowd of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
He is our hope, our faith and our perfecter. No, we have no perfection in us without Him.

A beautiful and wise counsel.
this reminded me of scripture found in 2corinthians12:9--"but he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'" and then Paul continued in the same chapter verse 10..."for when I am weak, then I am strong." NIV translation. Thanks for this reminder. : ) kathy
