An attempt to describe the most beautiful of all sensations
That is ruled by the heart
It is not conditional upon
Any reward
It just is
And comes without warning
like a creeping blanket
Of forgetfulness
It Invades the senses
Until sane rationale has gone
In its wake are kings
Become beggers
And kingdoms forsaken
In its glorious joy
are mountains crossed
Oceans traversed
It is the most exasperating
Echanting feeling known
And in that first flush of realisation
The whole being becomes
Charged with power
And in that fleeting second when
You finally admit to your love
Then it is likely
You will never feel more alive
Than at any time in your existance
Love is often unrequited
Yet admitted of friendship
And in such there be often
Unintentioned pain
yet such is true love that
It will withstand
and helplessly, hopelessly
Go on worshipping
And loving again and again
Until the end of time itself
Love is sacrifice
It is giving
And it is living
