Autumn Leaves Have To Go

Autumn's here with rusty leaves.
Sad, dark clouds, sunshine thieves.
I'll say a prayer, I shed a tear.
It hurts to watch you leave, my dear.

Time for changes, just let go.
The new experiences will make you glow.
Hunt your dreams, make them yours.
They'll be a part of your memoirs.

Good times will come, some bad times too.
We'll just have to enjoy the present view.
We've shared laughs, we've shared pain.
Without you, my friend, I'd be insane.

So if you feel lost, a little sad.
Remember the friend you always had.
Cause I won't let go, this is my plan,
I'll stay by your side for as long as I can.

This shows me unconditional love and understanding even in your sadness as you let her go. But, you offer her hope and your friendship to take with her.
