If I saw you,
I would smile at the beauty of you,
If I touched you,
I would hug you "til the tears go away,
And if I was there,
I would tell you everything will be ok,
This is a road known too well,
A road with no answers,
And it takes time, nothing but,
It's tricky paths and hills,
That builds madness,
And at the same,
It gradually sucks the poison out,
Healing is never an intention,
Understanding is, like the difference between right and wrong,
It doesn't cost a thing to smile,
And sometimes, it's the only thing you,
Or anybody else can give,
It's the most courageous thing to do,
'Cause it shows humanity,
A frown is just a sign of weakness,
Easily dwelled upon,
Because we choose to do nothing else,
That's where helping hands,
That's where honest ears,
And that's where silent lips,
Are there to do and show,
A purpose, a smile,
It doesn't cost a thing,
In my dreams,
You look so peaceful sleeping there,
In my dreams,
You cried, not out sorrow, but fufillment,
But most of all,
In my dreams,
You light up the atmosphere,
Because at last,
You smiled upon me,
In all of my dreams,
The dancer moves without a trace,

It doesn't cost a thing to smile!
