Voting is the most fought over right next to freedom. Lest we forget what we fought and "some gave all" for. Also based on a speech by Camille Cosby (Bill's wife) at Spelman College.

Neglect the right

They threw tea in the harbor,
They marched to the capital,
They suffered and they loss,
So we would not be without,
We cannot afford to forget,
Or take for granted,

It is our duty and responsibility,
To teach the others who will follow,
Our most simple right,
That is the most important right of all,
The right to make a point,
A difference, a step that others will follow,

It doesn't matter who is on the ticket,
Make your step,
No matter how small the question is to your life,
Make a difference,
If you do not like it, change it,
And state why,

It's more than right,
It is a duty,
If you can bear arms,
You can vote,
If you can speak your mind,
You better vote,
And if you can get a license,
You better thank God,
You can vote,

Because if chose not,
It's like a toy to some who don't remember,
How hard our parents and grandparents fought for it,
They will and will try to take it away,
It is not only freedom we have to worry about, too,
Remember that,

Neglect is not and never can be a luxury we can afford,

The dancer moves without a trace,

Amen! I practice my right to vote. I was taught that by my parents. I feel it is my duty to myself, my children, and theirs throughout eternity. One vote cast can change the course of events. Thanks for this wonderful message.
