Who has not feared to love TOO much?

his opiate touch

nostalgic yearning
For an elusive
panacea
draws my soul
to his

who knows
whence comes
this ache
for the lost
unknown

in this hollow
hungering heart
each beat brings
a searing pain

I long for
analgesia
but
if I should taste
his opiate touch

I fear to fall
Into the dizzy
spiral
of
addiction

I know this all to well.

This is a wonderful read, exactly my sort of thing. Romance and pain bundled in delectible language.

Whistling slowly. Brilliant to me.
