Again, a picture presented itself to me in my mind and I tried to translate it onto paper with my words.


Tonight My Love

Where are you tonight My Love?

I am here waiting for you,
desiring you, loving you.
In these quiet moments of solitude,
I find myself drawn to you,
dreaming of you, calling to you.
In the darkness I see only your face,
hear only your voice; your aroma fills
the air.
In the softness of the breeze,
I feel your touch against my skin
gentle as your last whisper of love
caressed the nape of my neck.
I shiver in delight and the night's
dew moistens my lips like your kiss.
I wrap my arms around myself thinking
of your warm embrace.
The moon is full and the first star
shoots across the sky.

And I know where you are tonight My Love.

You are in the wind.
You are in the dew.

Everyone has already said what I was going to say - This was so buetiful, I saw it as a lover who lost their love through a death - distance that is forced apon a couple - forced apart through no wish or desire of their own.... left only with the lingering longing, the smell of them apon the pillow... a lover keeped forever within the heart although the arms can not physically embrace them... true love never dies .... everything on this planet does :( Thanks heaps for such an inspiring write....:)
