Sad reality for thousands of men and women.

When 'used to be' becomes 'refuse to see'

Used to be so shiney
used to be real bright
used to be quite tiny
every man's delight~
Now she is a dark mess
staring into space
seeing only darkness
fallen far from grace!

She's the one He's after
calling in the night
"Come to me, come faster
I will make things right!
First I'll take your blue thoughts
then I'll give you peace
how about some new plots
You can count on these!"

Hears Him, sits like frozen
icecube in a tray
seems like she has chosen
in her mess to stay
yet, He had not cussed her
she simply wants HER way
more so than her lustre
from that brighter day

"sits like frozen icecube in a tray" - this line grabs me... it expresses stillness and being stuck in one spot very effectively... i don't know if angst is the right word to use here, but i get the feeling of conflict in this... i really like the title as well... *hug* xx
