My burlesque queen

She was a rose
a lilac scented muse
a bouquet of barbed wire
she offered me eternity
in the palm of her hand
my burlesque queen of desire
her softly placed thoughts
layered my mind
sailing me down the river
and yesterdays ghosts
walking closely behind
yet still i will always forgive her
and just beneath the milky skin
of all my acid dreams
i taste the love she dripped upon me
and forget
that nothing was ever as it seemed.

I imagine this poem to be quoted
between two somewhere , falling in love maybe, and he says "you read Rick as well !" she says "of course, its an English classic My burlesque queen"

It might just be you know, it might just be.

I believe that Zoya is correct and well in many ways it reminds me of all the tragic beauties that die too young

Lucky are those who find love,
So pure as this.
Blessed are those who can love,
As deeply as this.
Enchanted are the moments shared
With a loved one like this.
Enthralling the experience of a love,
As deep as this...

So savour the moments my friend,
And don't let them go.
Capture them in your heart and
let your soul glow...

(((Hugs dear Rik, for the masterpiece!)))
