Remember me with joy and hope

Sing my Verses, Sing my Song/ Remember me when I am gone...

I do not know where my song will go,
To your heart or to your soul?
So, keep the doors of heart ajar,
Let my song float into your heart.
Open the windows to your soul
Let my verse penetrate your core

Words of hope to keep you warm
On a wintry night or morn
Words of love with fragrance sweet
To keep tender feelings in peace
Words of passion and compassion
To melt your core and spirit

And sometimes-on silent nights
When the bird of hope takes flight
Flies away to distant lands
Leaving you lonesome and sad
When you are in pensive mood
Care worn in solitude

Look within and take a peep
Into that corner of your heart
Where hides my song of hope
Let it play upon your lips,
Let it bring a waft of wind,
Fragrant with my love in spring...

Sing my verses sing my songs
Remember me when I am gone...

dear sister, i read this poem over and over and can't get enough of it :) as i always cannot get enough of you. for indeed, joy and hope are my two favourite synonims of your name, dear zoya! since i've met you, your words always filled my soul with warmth, even in the darkest moments of my life, and this poem here is one more masterpiece of yours, now bookmarked and in my favourites!

Your poetry is a song and this one deserves a standing ovation. My Zoya, you have written a masterpiece here. It is a song, it is a poem, it is a painting, it is ART. Such beauty deserves at the very least to be displayed on the front page here on the Bay. And, I have placed it in my favs.

No dear lastromantichero and Individuality, sorry to disappoint you both, this is not Christina Rossetti or even inspired by her, this is my own sketch- a bad copy of 'Head of Leda' after Leonardo da Vinci; I really did not get it right so I did not mention that it was a copy of Leonardo's Sketch- who can copy the master? lol!
(((Lugs to both of you for great comparisons)))
Cheerio!

I hope this is meant litteratly ...

I belive we all need someone to remember us for what we were in life ... a lover, a friend ... a mother / father ... a pet ... just knowing we are seen is a way of staying alive in a good way ... and I belive makes us less afraid of death ...

a beautiful poem

love & hugs
