Gas-tly Dependence
Food for the kids or fuel for their carA most unsettling choice to be saddled with
If the kids are to eat, they can't drive very far
It's a choice now some parents must grapple with
If they drive to work for their money to keep
All their children clothed and well fed
They discover too soon that when gas is not cheap
They'll just have to do with less bread
It couldn't be worse for the average Joe
Whose bills couldn't climb any faster
Economic inflation, this sad tale of woe
Dependence on oil is disaster
