To my wife!

My Love

Peering into darkness hoping for the light,
Dimly souls fade in and out, often some are bright,
Through misty shores I walk alone, hoping for the sun,
Longing for that tender love bestowed by only one.

Broke and battered have I been, oft asunder cast,
Weeping from the gaping wounds, of love that did not last.
Deep the pain of loss has cut heart and soul in two,
Like the hollow pounding chest words of comfort rue.

As the mist before the sun the darkness cast aside,
Fate hath played his final hand that brought you to my side.
With heat of love and longing our souls were cast as one,
A union craft in heaven, which cannot be undone.

Love and joy of heart and soul weep from every pour,
For the journey of two, soon to be four.
As shooting stars of bursting light to this world they came,
With innocence and wonder in this realm they lay their claim.
