a poem for a baby

Michelle by M.A.Meddings

This baby
Conceived by us
Made by the love we share
With the button nose
And the silken hair
Her  tiny hands that grip
Then slip from my thumb
And make me numb
With excitement
A dream come true
The culmination of me and you
As she squints into the life we made
The love we gave
Just yesterday
To one another
And oh how we both  agree
Just what her name might be
Now she is ours
We know full well
No other name
Would ever be
So perfect As
Michelle

Nothing more beautiful than a baby girl, except, of course, her lovely mother! Well, then there is the radiant grandmother and the baby's aunts. A poem to cherish and put in Michelle's baby book! Lovely!

How wonderfully, beautifully, sweetly said.
I could eat this up with a spoon it is so delicious.
There is nothing anywhere in time or space or ever will there be anything so wonderful as a baby. And you have presented this beautiful darling perfectly.

nothing is more precious than a child. And, you have shown such love and tenderness in this beautiful poem for this baby. When love produces fruit it is the sweetest fruit of all. xxxxyb
