Time Yields Us

Allow for time to seal us in slumber
Consent her to drowse in deep rocking seas
This would not curse or ever encumber
She would repay us accordingly, please,

Give fresh flowers' aromas to settle
Allow for time to seal us in slumber
So she could not fade one perfect petal
This would not curse or ever encumber

Let her down softly in idle fields
Consent her to drowse in deep rocking seas
Then we could see what of us she yields
She would repay us accordingly, please?
