In moments of loneliness I play with words. A dawdle of memories

Dangerous by M.A.Meddings

Even Tied Up
I am dangerous
Dan Mcgrew
Has nothing on me
Cant you see
For the life of thee
How dangerous I am
like desperate Dan
In 'The Dandy'
or was it 'The Beano'
Never would be so
Good without his pals
Korky the Kat and Beryl the peril
With Dennis the menace
In the team
Oh what a cream
Of comics they were
Back in the time
When you held
A girls hand before
Kissing her
And never mentioned bed
Until it was said 'I do'
That was the time
When they hung you for muder
And Dan Mgrew
Love a lady named Lou
In the Mamaluk saloon
As the kid played
His Jag time tune
Dangerous

Kathy Lockhart
What a cute and clever, sweet and endearing poem from your very talented pen. Although, I only remember Dennis the Menace. You can ask my sister, Phyllis, I was a female version of him.

Silene
Feelings floating fluently.
These lines are running like a firm waterfall down a steep hill.
A focused direction to the dangerous end.

Energetic poem!

enjoyd this .... the comics of before ..Dennis the menace a favourite .... and yes those days when holding hands was the way to see how the two suieted each other ... and the cowboys riding through high chaparal ... times of innocence at least in a way ... as far as any time can be that I belive those were somewhat just that ....

nice poem ....
