Soft Romance a cowrite by Katherine Lockhart and M.A.Meddings

This poem was written by two people to celebrate the condition known as love hence the title Soft romance. It was a pleasure to write with this beautiful lady again.

Beneath the harvest moon, along the lake
Nature becomes attuned
While two lovers dance and swoon
To the cooing of the loons

And whilst the fireflies play with nightingales
Lovers entrancing sway
Neath a yellow moon and say
Be mine I am yours always

A melodious night of harmony
Singing that all is right
Heavenly streams of starlight
Sparkle for lovers tonight

And these two lovers dance to soft music
As sweet perfumes entrance
His resolve to take a chance
With gentle loves soft romance

White lilies scent the air so sublimely
While roses in her hair
Adorn the shy smile she wears
As she dances with him there

And reunion love is so beautiful
So wonderful above
Nothing else to gently prove
except beating hearts do move
