Love and desire and not knowing.

Will you?

Why should I believe you?
Why should I trust the honey-dripping words coming from your mouth?
Because I know they are combined with venom –
the venom of desire that will have me out cold
and gasping for breath whenever you want it.
And your hands all over me already have me close to surrender,
and your smile, laugh and kiss all urge me on
towards the drop, the drop into the bottomless pit,
which you will have to pull me up from again –
will you?

This sounds a little like self torture either way it has impact and that counts good work.

Very interesting text! If we trusted anyone totally (which we probably can't anyway), would that not mean we were taking them for granted?
