A REBELLIOUS BIRD

A tender thought is seldom heard.
Where have you gone, rebellious bird?
Human kind needs to go home.
They need to end their endless roam.

I'm an angel of mercy but I lost my way.
I followed the humans but they led me astray.
I'm a rebellious bird with freedom in mind.
How rare these days, the tender kind.

We try to achieve but nothing comes.
And now the raven has eaten our crumbs.
Whitebirds and blackbirds decide our fate.
A path in the woods and some gloomy hate.

If you please would send a tender thought.
Lead the way and make them uncaught.
The bird will find it's home at last,
and help us overcome our shameful past.
