Thought of this text on a pleasant winter morning the day after a great barbeque with the kids and my husband.

MEMORIES

One of the chilly evenings in December,
We created memories I`ll always remember,
As the wood burned and created a flame,
The light of the full moon put electricity to shame.
All cosied up in our woollens and toasting our toes,
The kids shining cheeks and noses were all that showed.
The smell of the barbeque tickled our palate,
The ambience seemed just so great.
We laughed,we talked,we sang we danced,
Even later all around us the kids pranced.
A nippy breeze,a cosy hug,
A warm touch from the one you love,
Some yummy food,some relaxed conversations,
These are the best parts of our creations.
The simple pleasures of life are so fulfilling,
On those memories the mind is always dwelling.
The kids will grow up and go their way,
But I hope these memories in their mind will always stay.
And whenever they need to take a break,
A phone call is all they'll need to make.
And we will be waiting with open arms.
The moon will still be shining all its charms.
We will set up the fire once again,
And looking at the dancing flames,
On your strong shoulders,I will rest my head,
A rush of pleasure in my veins I will get.
In your arms I will feel the beat of your heart,
And feel secure that we never need to part
In the sunset of my life,I hope to have you on my side,
Nothing will take me away from you, neither time nor tide,
For I love you and the kids so.......
That warmth of feeling is what makes me glow.
Lets live life like this creating memories to store,
And keep having fun more and more!
