the abyss is a void not pleasant to gaize into .. it is overwhelming and space leaving you empty .... Michael it is there in our hearts when we least expect it to be but it is also a shape that can be taken out of our lives if given a closer look .. but not for long mind you .. then it is the reverse action you will get.. what I am saying is that sometimes the abyss is merly a reflection of an untrue feeling in our hearts one that is formed upon untrue notions sent to us by uncertainty and such ... So, take a step away from this abyss and as you look at it from a distance you will see it was just a mirrage ... gone as quickly as it came ....

my dear friend, instead of focusing on the abyss, focus on the promise beyond it :) think of the light and beauty that lies beyond darkness, and you'll get through this :) as Kathy said already, her love for you is the brightest light of all, and it will guide you through these days while missing her!

oh my darling Michael, that abyss as you described is so real. Depression even if short lived can be desperate, dark, and lonely.
