This is my ninth villanelle. I'm a little too obsessed with these, I think...

Summer Fling

In this heat, love don't mean a thing
I'm bored and want to have some fun
I want you for my summer fling

These hills with lover's voices ring
I'd shoot them if I had a gun!
In this heat, love don't mean a thing

There's room for two on that old swing
So scoot on over, honey bun
I want you for my summer fling

Now I'm a queen who has no king
But I don't really want someone;
In this heat love don't mean a thing

Let's see what thrills your lips can bring
Away from all this hellish sun
I want you for my summer fling

If you say "love" I'll SCREAM---not sing
So let's just play 'til we're both done;
In this heat, love don't mean a thing
I want you for my summer fling

Ducks
I do love a good villanelle
Flings are

Fabulous in every
Unbelievable fun and titlating way that
Never has to lead anywhere serious.

mwahahaha
don't know what that was for...
